There are two big bumpers on the exit way from the car parking lot in our office building. Due to my weak back, I wait beyond these bumpers while hubby brings out the car. On one such occasion, I saw a street dog canter past the guard. It went on running all the way along the car passage and presumably inside the 1st floor car parking area. What was most surprising was the complete inaction on part of the guard. When the dog went past him, he just stared on in a languid fashion - an indulgent look on his face. After all, stopping dogs is not part of his job description - stopping people is.
Can't really blame him for following protocol, can I?
